On this Mother’s Day, we give thanks to God for our loving mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, Godmothers and our heavenly mother, Mary.  The definition of mother is to literally “give birth to” and “to bring up a child with care and affection.”  Mothers are indeed one of the first exemplars of what loving a family looks like in our world.  Moms are often the first responders who look out for and respond to whatever need arises in the home.  There are so many memories I have up to this day of times where my mom stopped her life so that my sisters and I could be cared for.  Oftentimes, moms get overlooked.  Don’t overlook your mother today.  Stop and say, “Thank you, and I love you.”  And even throw a hug in there too!   When I stopped by my parents’ house last week, I took a picture of one of their wisteria plants with Our Lady.  Spring is such a beautiful time.

The Chosen.  Last week, we had a great showing for Season 4 of The Chosen.  Keith Obermeier, who is leading this, shared this picture of all who came and were inspired by the life of Jesus! What a great crowd!  Thank you, Jesus!

Church Renovation Update.  I took this picture last Tuesday when they were staining the pews.  The right side is stained and the other is not.  The difference is amazing.  With the pews refinished, we will begin the flooring this coming week.  Keep praying that things will progress smoothly.  Thank you for your prayers.
