Children’s Liturgy of the Word refers to the practice of our 3-7 year old children leaving the Sunday Mass during the Liturgy of the Word and gathering to celebrate a Liturgy of the Word that is appropriate to their level of understanding.
Once a child enters second grade and is preparing for their First Holy Communion it is appropriate that they remain in the Church for the entire Mass.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is held at the11am Mass on most Sundays, starting the Sunday after Labor Day and ending in the beginning of May.
No pre-registration is needed. Please make sure that your child is comfortable leaving with our teachers and aides to walk to the school.
