“I will not reject anyone who comes to Me.”
What reassuring words.  We need to hear this, know this, and own this about Jesus.  This is why He came to us…that He might receive us and make us His own.  His desire and will is to never lose anything of what He gave but raise it on the last day.  Jesus invites us to come to Him.

As we celebrate All Souls Day this weekend, this message applies to our loved ones who have died.  Our hope is that they are with Jesus and all the saints and angels.  Our hope is that Jesus has not rejected them but received them into His kingdom.  But this same message applies to us now.  Jesus’ invitation to come to Him isn’t an invitation we wait for until we die.  It is an invitation today, here and now.  Come to Jesus.  He will not reject you.  Jesus desires to welcome us into His love and into real relationship now.  He wants to raise us up from the struggle of sin and discouragement in our lives into a new way of living.

Can we trust in a loving Jesus?  We may speak well to others of His love for them.  But do you trust in His love for you today?  Do you really believe He loves you?  Yes, His love demands our love in return—that is what we call relationship.  But it is worth it.  It is this loving relationship that will change us, transform our desires and set us on different paths we have never thought of before.  This all sounds exciting to me.  Come to Him, know His love for you in this life, trust in it and allow His transforming love to change you in a way that you never conceived of before.  If we do this, then we can truly be a part of the feast day before All Souls Day…All Saints Day!
