Registration for Training for Healing Prayer Teams at St. Francis de Sales
Jesus calls all those who believe in him to heal the sick (see Mark 16). Praying for healing is not a call to a specific ministry, it is a call to a lifestyle of living like Jesus. Through prayerful discernment, some may sense a particular call to pray for the sick in a way that ministers more publicly. These calls are always discerned in our personal prayer, with the Scriptures, and through the Body of Christ, the Church. This training for healing prayer teams is that opportunity for discernment, and it will include learning about what the Scriptures and Church's teaching say about healing prayer.
Training to be eligible for healing prayer teams will begin on October 28th (Wednesday) at 6:30PM and will last until around 8:00PM and take place in the school gymnasium. These sessions will happen each Wednesday until December 16th. There will be no training session on November 25th. Participants will need to attend every session for completion of the program. Participants will also need to complete reading assignments, ministry assignments, and writing assignments given throughout the training in order to officially complete the program. After completing these training sessions, those discerned ready to be a part of healing ministry teams will be placed into a weekend schedule, and they will be available at set times to pray for the sick.
Please fill out this form below in order to register for these events. Only 35 slots are available due to COVID-19 protocols. So admittance will be granted in order to registration. Please note, only parishioners of St. Francis de Sales will be eligible to participate in this training program.
