Women of all ages are welcome for a prayerful morning at St. Francis de Sales Saturday, December 6. The event begins with 8:15 a.m. Mass in the church. The morning will include:
- Holy Mass and the Rosary with meditations in the church
- A light breakfast in the Memorare Center
- A presentation on Reflection and Prayer
- Praise and Worship in the Church
- Adoration and Confession
- Benediction

Our annual Eucharistic Devotions weekend will be held November 14-16, 2025. The weekend begins with the opening Mass Friday, November 14 at 9:00 a.m. followed by continuous Adoration in the church until Closing Vespers at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 16. All are welcome to rest in the presence of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament! Come and see what graces He has in store for you.
The All Souls Day Candle Lighting Ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 2 during the 11:00 a.m. Mass. We will read the names of all parishioners who have died since November 2, 2024 and a candle will be lit for each person named. If you plan to attend Mass and present the candle to be lit for your deceased loved one, please contact the parish office or Ann Clark (aclark2@stfparish.com) by Wednesday, October 29.
Come celebrate the Jubilee Year of Hope! St. Francis de Sales Parish is offering a one-night Advent Mission on Thursday, December 4 as an opportunity to experience the gift of this special year and learn about its ancient Biblical roots. The evening will begin with confessions at 5:30 p.m. and Mass at 6:30 p.m. After Mass, at 7:10 p.m., Dr. John Bergsma, a highly-respected Catholic Biblical scholar from the St. Paul Center in Steubenville, Ohio, will give a presentation entitled "Jesus and the Jubilee". All are welcome for any part of the evening! It will be held in the church, 4019 Manchester Rd. Akron 44319. This event is free, but registration is requested for Dr. Bergsma’s talk. October is Respect Life Month. Our parish will once again show the respect for all human life by praying the Rosary for Life as a parish on Sunday, October 12 following the 9:00 Mass. You can plan to come close to 10:00 if you attend a different Mass that weekend. Please meet us on the lawn up at Manchester Road to give a prayerful witness for about one-half hour. We will remain in church if it rains.

St. Francis de Sales parish will celebrate our annual outdoor Mass on Sunday, July 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tudor House on the Portage Lakes, 655 Latham Ln, Akron, 44319. Seating is available but limited, so we recommend bringing folding chairs or blankets. All are welcome to bring a picnic lunch and eat together after Mass. There will not be an 11:00 a.m. Mass at the church that day.

Ryan Arto's ordination to the priesthood with his Mass of Thanksgiving here at St. Francis de Sales on Sunday, May 18 at 11:00 a.m. Immediately following Mass refreshments will be served in the school gymnasium.
