Shirley Clark - Sacristan, Youth Ministry

Shirley does double duty at St. Francis. She serves as a sacristan, and also coordinates the parish youth ministry. As sacristan she works to make sure the sacristy is neat and organized, and that all of the supplies for Mass are ready. She mends and cleans the priests' vestments and is ready to handle any last-minute request or emergency. Her family can attest to the many details that she frets over -- is there a host on the paten? Are the water and wine ready? Does the chalice veil match the vestment? Are the candles straight? Life as the youth group leader requires a mix of faith lessons and fun, but Shirley says there's only one worry -- is there enough food? The Holy Spirit takes care of the rest.
