Congratulations Fr. Alex Clark! This weekend we celebrate the ordination of Fr. Alex Clark as a priest of the Diocese of Cleveland. His ordination at 10:00am on Saturday, May 15 (click here to join via livestream)and his First Mass of Thanksgiving at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 16 (click here join via livestream) are the culmination of his many years in formation at seminary. This celebration is only possible because of the prayers and devotion of his family and this parish family as well. You have impacted him and the diocese is better for it! Just last Monday, I was privileged to pray a holy hour with the Avila Prayer Group, who pray for vocations within the Church. I encourage you to make the time to join this group and transform the world and the lives of our parishioners with prayer.
Thank you to the St. Francis Men’s Group! Just last weekend, the men’s group went on an Ora et Labora, prayer and work retreat where they did just that! Led by Fr. Bearer, the men prayed together and spruced up the landscaping as well as worked on the siding of the building. In the end, not only were their souls transformed, but the landscaping was as well! Praise God!
The Bishop is Coming! On Sunday, May 23 at 11:00am Mass, Bishop Malesic will come to have Mass and bless the Memorare Center. Mass will be outside in front of the Memorare Center. Please bring a chair. Also, Fr. Bline will concelebrate, share some words at the end of Mass and bless the Our Lady Help of Christians statue that will be placed in the building. I want to thank Fr. Bline and the Parish Finance Council, Parish Council, Building and Grounds, and all the parishioners who made the Memorare Center possible. In speaking with our staff, it has been a joy to move in here and work together. I look forward to the many gatherings we will offer here to help us grow in our relationship with Christ!
