“Do whatever he tells you.”

These words come from Mary and is directed to the servers at the wedding in Cana. They responded and did what He told them to do and miracles happened. Mary speaks those same words to us. “Do whatever he tells you.” This is the goal of the Christian life. To follow the words of Christ. To do whatever Christ asks of us. What is Christ asking of you today and throughout your life? If you have a listening heart, Jesus will tell you what to do. He will guide you. As I approach my own installation of pastor here, I realize what has brought me to this place and this moment. Active, daily listening to Jesus. Some days are better than others. But when we ask the Lord what he wants us to do and strive to respond, miracles happen! It’s a miracle I am here at such a wonderful parish! Praise God! Thank you, Jesus.  In light of this, we are nine days away from my installation. As a way to prepare your hearts and mine, I am asking that you pray this 9 Day Novena of St. Francis de Sales that begins on January 16 and will conclude on January 24, his feast day. I need the support of our patron saint and the communion of saints. Most importantly, I need your prayer support if I can do anything well here.
