To all my friends and soon-to-be friends at St. Francis de Sales Parish, my name is Andy Davis and I am in my 4th and final year of formation as a candidate for the permanent diaconate. God is always good and I feel especially blessed to be with you all during this time on the journey to ordination (God willing). You will meet my wife, Chris – we have been married almost 30 years and have five adult children all in their twenties. We have our first grandchild on the way on November 17th.
By day I work for Catholic Charities of Summit County as a professional counselor and clinical director. A little fun fact, in a past life Father Jeremy and I both worked at the same time for the City of Akron Engineering Bureau (small world!) Other fun facts, I love singing/ guitar and have French Canadian roots. Our family is from St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Akron, and I have done previous field assignments at IHM, Holy Family and St. Joseph’s in Cuyahoga Falls. In formation we take classes every Wednesday and Saturday; my favorite class last semester was Evangelization.
So, I am excited to see what the Holy Spirit will be doing this year at St. Francis de Sales and I am really looking forward to this time together!
Peace of Christ,
