Come pray on the shore!
In the gospel this weekend, we hear that “Jesus went out of the house and sat down by the sea. Such large crowds gathered around Him that He got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd stood along the shore. And He spoke to them at length in parables…” Next weekend, at our Mass on the Water July 19 at 11:00 a.m., we have the same opportunity to sit by the shore and listen to the words of Jesus as we pray and celebrate the Eucharist. Remember, there will be no 11:00 a.m. Mass at the Church. Thanks!
ASF Winner! As we enter a new fiscal year, we close last year’s Angel Scholarship Fund (ASF) for the 2026-2027 school year. As promised, we did an electronic drawing of all the donors who contributed to Angel Scholarship Fund for our St. Francis de Sales School. The winner of the drawing this year is Louise Toth, who wins $2,720. This year, we raised $272,000 with donations from 231 unique contributors. Keep in mind, we will keep on offering this opportunity as long as the ASF continues in the State of Ohio. Please do your best to help others know about this great opportunity. Thanks again for supporting this effort to help families afford Catholic education in Northeast Ohio. May God bless your efforts!
Thank you Tom Bullock. I just want to say thank you to Tom Bullock on our maintenance staff who recently took a job with Summit County Metroparks. He worked full time with us for 2 years and part-time before that for a number of years. He helped keep the campus looking beautiful. In addition, he shared his gifts of sound engineering as he helped with the play each year. We give thanks to God for all God has done through him and wish him the best in his new endeavor in the metroparks.
Kenmore Free Store. In a recent meeting with Catholic Charities, they shared that the Kenmore Free Store can remain in operation until further notice. Needed items include:
You can drop off items on Tuesdays from 4:00-7:00 p.m. or on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Items can be received at the front of the Immaculate Conception School building on 16th St. Thanks for helping to continue this mission!
